Questions & Answers

Are there any Course prerequisites ?

With the exception of our recertification programs, there are no prerequisites for our First Aid & CPR courses.

Are there any Age prerequisites ?

Red Cross first aid or CPR courses have no age requirements as long as participants can learn and perform the skills.

Recognition: Through our courses you will receive Red Cross certification, a recognized leader in the First Aid/CPR industry. Red Cross courses are recognized by WS&IB.

What is the Length of certification ?

Red Cross first aid, CPR, and AED certification is valid for three years.

can I upgrade my level ?

Upgrading to a higher level of certification is not permitted, meaning you will not be exempt from the material that you were trained in, if you realize that you need to take a higher level. We strongly recommend that you check with your employer or your school, prior to the course, to make sure you take the correct course.

How & When can I pay ?

Payment (for Public Courses only): Payment is due just before the start of each course. Please note, our preferred method of payment is cash, although we understand that there are times when you only have a cheque available and may need to pay in this manner. However if this is the case we will need to hold your certification until your cheque clears our bank.

can I recieve a refund ?

We do not issue refund to students that do not complete or are unsuccessful on our training programs.

Can I take First Aid as a stand alone course?

The way these courses are set up first aid alone is not available. No matter which first aid course you take CPR will be included. These are rules set by WS&IB and we must follow them. However, CPR courses are offered without fist aid.

AED/defibrillation: all our public first aid and CPR courses now come with AED certification, at no extra fee.

Requirements to pass: To successfully complete our programs, we require 100% attendance & participation for the entire course. There is also a multiple choice examination at the end of each course.
